🤮This happens. Regularly. The right wing press wea 🤮This happens. Regularly. The right wing press weaponise the narrative around rural communities and nature. They hound people who call out racism in the countryside, who call for progressive visions, who speak about the dangers of misty-eyed 'green and pleasant land' nostalgia. The fact that minister Jenny Riddell-Carpenter's comments about black labradors and warm ale have blown up is because the story about the countryside is already being weaponised. They've kinda proven her point. There are many real issues facing the countryside and rural communities. Now is the 🌱perfect time🌱 for the Government to step up and show us what it's going to do, so there is hope in every rural heart as well. And the rest of us? Call out the toxic, narrow gatekeeping about who and what the countryside is. It's not benign, and it has no place in our society.

Then strain off the juice, boil w sugar (however much you can be bothered to put in) and done. The OG nature lazy larder filler. This was about 10% of what was on the woodland floor - so plenty left for other foragers & wild lives

Same kids, same river habitat, same activity. The only difference is the fact that 23 years ago Scotland passed the Land Reform Act and now every river is accessible to the public.
